R1soft agent installation 

Install dependency packages

[root@vps ~]# yum install gcc glibc-devel glibc-headers

First you need to check the server kernel Version

[root@vps ~]# uname -r
2.6.32-042stab084.20

Then Install the appropriate kernel-devel and kernel-headers

[root@vps src]# yum install kernel-devel-$(uname -r) -y

Install kernel-headers if it’s in openvz Node, if it is a dedicated server check kernel version and download and install headers

http://download.openvz.org/kernel/branches/rhel6-2.6.32/042stab084.20/

[root@vps src]# rpm -ivh http://download.openvz.org/kernel/branches/rhel6-2.6.32/042stab084.20/vzkernel-devel-2.6.32-042stab084.20.x86_64.rpm
Retrieving http://download.openvz.org/kernel/branches/rhel6-2.6.32/042stab084.20/vzkernel-devel-2.6.32-042stab084.20.x86_64.rpm
Preparing… ########################################### [100%]
1:vzkernel-devel ########################################### [100%]

[root@vps src]# rpm -qa | grep kernel
dracut-kernel-004-336.el6_5.2.noarch
kernel-2.6.32-431.3.1.el6.x86_64
vzkernel-headers-2.6.32-042stab084.12.x86_64
kernel-firmware-2.6.32-431.3.1.el6.noarch
vzkernel-2.6.32-042stab084.20.x86_64
kernel-2.6.32-358.el6.x86_64

Configure r1soft repo

[root@vps ~]# cd /etc/yum.repos.d
[root@vps ]# vim r1soft.repo

[r1soft]
name=R1Soft Repository Server
baseurl=http://repo.r1soft.com/yum/stable/$basearch/
enabled=0
gpgcheck=0

Install r1soft package.

[root@vps]# yum install r1soft-cdp-enterprise-agent –enablerepo=r1soft

Downloading Packages:
(1/4): serverbackup-agent-5.4.3.x86_64.rpm | 6.9 MB 00:01
(2/4): serverbackup-async-agent-2-6-5.4.3.x86_64.rpm | 13 MB 00:02

Retreving Key from r1soft server

[root@vps src]# r1soft-setup –get-key https://IP address
Key ‘IPassdress.com’ successfully installed.

[root@vps13 src]# r1soft-setup –get-module
Checking if module needs updated
Checking for binary module
Waiting |
No binary module found
Gathering kernel information
Gathering kernel information complete.
Creating kernel headers package
Checking ‘/lib/modules/2.6.32-042stab084.20/source/’ for kernel headers
Found headers in ‘/lib/modules/2.6.32-042stab084.20/source/’
Compressing…
uploading kernel package 99% 6112KB 6.0MB/s 00:00 ETA
Starting module build…
Complete.
Saving kernel module to ‘/lib/modules/r1soft/hcpdriver-cki-2.6.32-042stab084.20.ko’
Kernel module is now installed.
Use ‘/etc/init.d/cdp-agent restart’ to load the new driver

After installing the r1soft module check the hcpdriver and restart the cdp-agent.

[root@vps13 ~]# lsmod | grep -i hcp
hcpdriver 71820 4
